How Can YOU Get Involved In Helping To Expand The Independent Living Network In Iowa?
The more you know, the more you can help! You can start by signing up for advocacy education e-mails from the Iowa SILC. The SILC will send out an e-mail when there is federal or state legislation pending that will affect persons with disabilities in Iowa. The information in the e-mail will tell you what the legislation is and how it affects Iowans with disabilities. You will be given contact information for the federal or state legislators involved in making decisions regarding the legislation, and you can then choose if you want to contact them and tell them what you think about the legislation.

Submitting an Application to Be Appointed to the Iowa SILC
The Iowa SILC is always looking for new Board Members to ensure we have a good statewide representation from various geographic locations, as well as members who represent different types of disabilities.
If you have a passion for helping to grow the Independent Living Movement and Network in Iowa, and wish to be considered for appointment to the SILC Board, please contact Dawn Francis at the Iowa SILC for a Gubanatorial Appointments Resume.
