What is the Consumer Voices Summit?

The Iowa Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) has created the Consumer Voices Summit as a regional event designed to:

• Invite Iowans with disabilities to provide feedback about independent living and other disability services in order to shape the future planning for independent living in Iowa

• Offer basic and new information to disability advocates that can be acted upon in their home communities – and

• Promote Independent Living principles such as freedom of choice and support for community based services for Iowans with disabilities
