| Dawn Francis, SILC Executive Director |

Dawn Francis was hired as the very first Executive Director of the Iowa SILC in March of 2006. She is passionate about helping others, and has worked in the human services field for over 25 years. Dawn has a BA in social work and a BA in psychology. She has developed, implemented, and managed numerous human and social service programs, and has written and received funding for over $42 million in grants. Dawn is a member of the Iowa Olmstead Consumer Taskforce, and is excited about the strong collaboration between the Task Force and the SILC. Dawn is also a member of two national committees through the National Council on Independent Living - the Outcome Measures Task Force with Bob Michaels, and the Rehabilitation Act Task Force. She enjoys singing, biking, blading, and outdoor concerts, and has one daughter, Danielle, who is a senior at the University of Iowa. Dawn resides in Adel with her cats, Kati and Arabella.

| Joe Suits, SILC Administative Assistant |

Joe Suits serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Iowa SILC. He has a bachelor's degree in Business from Drake University in Des Moines. Joe enjoys riding his motorcycle and fishing, and he resides in Des Moines.

| Steve Gulick, Technology Volunteer, & Friends |
|
Steve Gulick is the Technology Volunteer for the Iowa SILC. Steve volunteers his time to the SILC and several other non-profit organizations to assist them with their technology needs. Steve volunteers one day a week to help the SILC staff keep their computers and other technology running smoothly. Steve and his wife, Barbara, recently visited their daughter and her family in California. While there they visited an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico, where their daughter and her family volunteer. Steve is pictured here with a couple of new friends he made there. Steve and Barbara reside in Des Moines.
